Snapshot Sunday ~ 17/07/2016

Nothing much goes to waste in Panama.  Take for instance a bag that SU received when he recently bought dirt from the local vivero (nursery).  He was excited to show me where it was from…in the campo.

I always marveled at how skilled the Panamanians were in repurposing things. During the Peace Corps years I bought a pair of jeans and cut them off to create shorts. Minga asked if she could have the orphan pant legs, and soon emerged having sewn a pair of pants with a simple elastic waist for her 3 year old.

There is still such a thing repairing something here instead of throwing it away. One simply has to find someone that knows someone. Usually a cousin. LOL!

I'd love to hear from you!
