Agua, el Océano

IMG_1306 IMG_1307I went on another walk this morning but left the house a little earlier than yesterday.  I was hoping to get the brilliant orange of the sun coming up over the ocean.  Unfortunately I dallied a little too long and the distance was too great to get the sunrise over the water in all its morning glory, but remnants remained of the light.

I took  a few photos and as per the task set before our Blogging U group today.  Snapping my picture and then rotating my camera, taking the shot from the other orientation.  I wasn’t sure what to focus on, the pelicans flying overhead shifted a little too much and the point a little further down seemed too far away.  Instead, the pictures I’ve chosen to share focus on the rocks along the shoreline.  I noticed with the change in orientation that the camera captured the colour of the light a little different…in the campo.Blogging U.

Thanks. We’re a bit higher up and so we get the brilliant, orange ball later. It’s quite spectacular but I didn’t plan very well and missed it over the water. But then again if I wanted to walk I’d have had to go in the dark to catch it. One morning I’ll get myself going… 🙂

The scene is beautiful! Although the landscape orientation shows more of the surroundings and the color gradient in the sky, I actually like the portrait view better because of the stronger contrast and emphasis on the water.

Yes, you’re right about the contrast. One can see the delineation of the water a lot better in the horizontal one. I also like the path the light creates over the water in the morning. Thank you for your comment. 🙂

  3. Fantastic shots, really really nice. well done!

Gracias, today I was lucky. I met my friend walking her dog and she drove my wet bum home. Tomorrow I don’t have too far to travel to find my bliss. 🙂
