Sights of the Morning

A morning to me at home is a 5:30 wake up call from the Howler Monkeys down by the river, roosters crowing, and if we listen carefully and the tide is high we can hear the waves crashing from the ocean 2km away.  When we rise there are usually several hens and a rooster or two, or three scratching around the yards.  This morning this one appeared on her own…in the campo.

We definitely get the roosters crowing 24 hours a day from our neighbors that grow fighting cocks, plus the dogs barking and the Cantina was at it until late last night.

The cantina was abnormally noisy yesterday and into the night after being quiet for a while.

I really like the way you have incorporated the sounds into your photos. It really helps them come alive for me.

  4. Wow, that chicken has long legs compared to our chickens! 🙂 Nice photos.

  5. No need for an alarm clock indacampo! 🙂 Anita

No. And surprisingly I could hear music briefly along with the roosters this morning in the first gray light. Don’t know where that was coming from. Maybe the school bus or the fisherman down the road…

I'd love to hear from you!
