Music Monday ~ It’s Calm Now But…

It’s early morning and the wind died down a little during the night.  There’s just a slight breeze and it’s nice not to be blown to smithereens.  Roosters are crowing, birds are chirping and calling out, and vehicles are moving about the pueblo delivering the workers to their jobs.

Yesterday the wind was blowing strongly and anybody walking North up our road would have had to cover their faces or suck in a lung full of dirt and dust.  It got me thinking about dust…in the wind…in the campo.

Today’s song is Dust in the Wind by Kansas, there’s two versions today.  Let me know which one you like better in the comment section.

DUST IN THE WIND

I close my eyes, only for a moment, and the moment’s gone
All my dreams pass before my eyes, a curiosity
Dust in the wind
All they are is dust in the wind

Same old song, just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do crumbles to the ground though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Oh, ho, ho

Now, don’t hang on, nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky
It slips away
And all your money won’t another minute buy
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind
Dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
Everything is dust in the wind
The wind

Thank you In Da Campo for this magical classical version of an old favorite. I think that could be a fitting addition to my funeral one day. Have a great week!

Oh, you’re welcome! Glad you enjoyed it. And many people would find the funeral comment strange but not I! ¡Y también tienes una buena semana!

I'd love to hear from you!
