I like the idea that every day, even on the cloudy days, I know that the Sun is rising up over the ocean a mere two kilometers away from our back yard.
The Sun is definitely more spectacular during Wet Season when there is more moisture in the air for the light to reflect off. Once in a while in Dry Season, especially as the sun moves its way back North at the end of our Summer, the light is also lovely in colors of orange and pink, a sign that the humidity is rising and the rains will soon come.
We’re Early Birds, not by choice but by necessity. Dos Gatos begin demanding to be fed and let out sometime between “0 Dart Buffalo Fart” and 0600. It also gets too warm to lounge in bed while the Sun beats in through the back doors. And why would we want to miss the beginning of a new day, a new beginning, a new adventure…in the campo?
