It’s A New Day

I have always been delighted at the prospect of a new day, a fresh try, one more start, with perhaps a bit of magic waiting somewhere behind the morning.  ~ J. B. Priestley ~

It’s a rarity, to see a really beautiful sunrise during Dry Season in the campo.  I think it’s because the sun is in a different place in the sky and we don’t have as many clouds for the light to reflect off.

This morning, I was chosen by Dos Gatos to escort them out the door and into the first morning light.  As the sky brightened I noticed that indeed, that rare beautiful sunrise was showing its face over the still unharvested maize in the distance.

Welcome to Monday, in the campo.

Really beautiful sky! I just love sunrises and sunsets. Sunrise is always a time of day when you feel you are in on a secret while everyone is sleeping. The quietness of the morning (except maybe roosters, haha) and the world is slowing waking and coming to life. Great pictures 🙂

Thank you. It’s a “bird freeway” across the fields in the morning. They add to the roosters (of course it’s Panama!!!) and the neighbour at the end of the road has a parrot that likes to “chat” very loudly first thing in the morning. Still, it is very peaceful before everyone is out and about. 🙂

  2. A magical way to begin your day! Anita

Ye,s life is back to the normal, tranquilo pace after being ill and much other upheaval in the pueblo. It is nice once again to remember the gratitude of the simple. 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
