Red Truck ~ WP Weekly Photo Challenge, Contrasts

I spent my first few days on my trip back to Canada with my friends at their new home in the interior of BC. The home is on a hill above Vernon where there is still great stands of spruce trees and wilderness among the homes.

One evening as the sun was waning in the sky I decided to take a walk along the road that meanders through the trees. There are several pieces of old equipment in the bushes around the property and I noticed this old truck in among the wildflowers and grasses. A contrast, between nature and machine.

Gracias, I went looking for light and I think I found the right perspective and light on this one. It may be my new favourite picture after my green iguana. 🙂

Green iguana pretty great too. Have you gotten warm yet now that you’re back on the home turf?

I think I may have I’m just not used to the early morning coolness. And now we’re going to have three days of rain so I’ll have the fuzzy thick socks on again. 🙂

Love this photo as it remind me of home. Thanks so much for including my link on contrasts from Spain. Much appreciated!

this has such a great feel to it – of history and life – and perfect for the challenge – the contrast of color (Red/green) but also man made and nature – and light, etc.

Gracias, I really liked the light component of it. From another angle it just looked like like a truck in long grass. 🙂
