For this week’s WP Photo Challenge Michelle writes; “Art isn’t just paintings and sculptures, it can be anything in which we find beauty and meaning — even food. Show us a thing, place, or person that’s a work of art to you.”
On Monday I posted an article about quincha houses. We have a few quincha houses in town that are beautifully kept, some of the houses haven’t been modernized so much that they have lost some of their architectural detail, and others are decorated with some charming artwork. Here is just a small sampling from the campo:

wonderful photos….I love the quincha houses, and the individual designs & colors.
LOL! We drove by a house that I see every day that is quite pretty and I had forgotten all about it!
Gracias, and thanks once again for reading.
I read all the time! your blog is always interesting, & your page looks great after all your work. I’d like a photo of a part of your house as the main photo, though. in the beginning, I looked up campo so I’d understand the name of your blog.
I’ve got a picture of the house at the top of one of my pages. I kind of didn’t want to have it on the front page because this is a small town and it is easily recognizable. Believe it or not I’ve had several strangers wander up my front driveway. 🙂
I have a definition of “campo” at the bottom of the page but I think I need to fix it up more, it is kind of cut off and difficult to find.
Thanks for your feedback!
Beautiful details
Gracias! There are some very well kept old houses around town.
Oh that blue!! How wonderful to live where all the houses (and doors and windows) yodel with colour! Over here, it’s all about dun. I broke the mold with pale green. Yep. Such a rebel.
Oh, Panameños like color, that was one of the prettier ones.
Each one so unique and handcrafted – lots of character, no matter what state of (dis)repair 🙂
Si, some of them are on older, deserted houses and might not be around much longer. I’m always on the look for them driving around the other towns, just have to grab my camera and go and try to document a few more. 🙂
