¡Feliz Día de San Valentín!

I did start today thinking about several items that I could talk about for a Free For All Friday.  And then later in the day mi amiga ( thank you D) shared a video on FaceBook that I took the time to look at while baking a multitude of cupcakes for a fundraiser we’re going to tonight.

For me, it wasn’t enough just to view the video.  It was so touching that I had to do a little research about the people behind the video, Danny and Annie Perasa.  On their first date he told her; “If we’re going anywhere, we’re going down the aisle, because I’m too tired, too sick and too sore to do anything else.” Annie turned to him and said; “Oh, of course, I’ll marry you.” They progressed from their single date courtship to their wedding day in 1976, he was 38 she was 34:

StoryCorps, is an independent nonprofit that is building an oral history of everyday Americans.  Its mission is to give people of all backgrounds and beliefs with the opportunity to record, share, and keep their stories.  The nationwide project  has set up recording booths in various places where people can come in, share and record their story.

The Perasas were favorites of StoryCorps weekly broadcasts on NPR’s Morning Edition because of their charming, romantic and real love for each other. Teaching us all that for everyone there is a someone waiting in the world who will love us unconditionally.

Feliz Día de San Valentín from the campo!

Hi, a couple of Canadians (Ontario) who are seriously looking at Panama as a retirement home. I will be retiring in about 5 months.

Anyway, we are coming down for a 2 week visit the end of April and would really appreciate an opportunity to buy you lunch and pick your brain for an hour or so.

If this is possible, might be better to chat via email.

Sorry if this is too forward but we have so many questions,

    Thanks,

    Guy & Sherry

I'd love to hear from you!
