Ted Talk Thursday ~ Kelly McGonigal: How to make stress your friend

The biggest enemies of willpower: temptation, self-criticism, and stress. (…) these three skills —self-awareness, self-care, and remembering what matter most— are the foundation for self-control. ~ Kelly McGonigal ~

My intuitive amiga Kris sent me a link for today’s latest Ted Talk Thursday post, suggesting that it would be a good one to use.  Little did she know that I’ve been incommunicado these last few days because I left the tranquilo life of the campo to spend some time in Panama City with another amiga.

I was very happy to tag along with my friend as she did the errands that she needed to do to help support her mother’s house and care.  We did manage to have some girl time but we also spent a lot of time stuck in the traffic of Panama.  If stress is good for you we’ve just added another five years to our lives in five days.  I hope you all enjoy today’s talk as much as I did as I settle back into life in the campo.

  1. No, I didn’t know you were in the city. We’re here now on our way to the US and just getting out of Allbrook is an adventure. Sheesh. I’m glad you liked the video 🙂

I'd love to hear from you!
