This weeks photo challenge asked: Show me the different sides of Sea with your contribution!
We are so fortunate to live so close to the sea and we took some time this afternoon to go to the beach and wait for some friends to come in from fishing. There was a large group of us sitting at the cantina visiting and watching the water, hoping to see some whales. We didn’t see any whales but the highlight was when our friends returned with a 100 lb+ tuna.
As they were gathering their things together on the shore and loading the truck to come up the beach, I looked around at the families and the young children in the waning sunlight. These young fishermen, with their home-made fishing rods made of plastic bottles and fishing line, is to me, symbolic of the simplicity of campesino life by the sea.
