Creeping Among the Flowers

by Maria Fleming

Ladybugs all dressed in red
Strolling through the flowerbed.
If I were tiny just like you
I’d creep among the flowers too!

Ladybugs are thought of as omens of good luck and hungrily devour plant-eating insects, such as aphids.  The rain always brings new critters and there were several in the garden yesterday. I took some photos of them between the drizzle while I was trying out the macro lenses.

I love the reflection captured on the shell (if that’s what you call the bug body?) and the water droplet! Lovely …

Gracias! No spots though so it’s a different kind than we have at home. 🙂

Yes I noticed the lack of spots. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen some different markings on some back home too. I don’t recall the markings but I remember thinking, hmm … interesting!

I'd love to hear from you!
