Finally, A Little Sky Descending to the Earth

Rain is grace; rain is the sky descending to the earth; without rain, there would be no life.  ~ John Updike ~

We had lightening over the ocean and a couple of light rain showers last night and this morning.  It was just enough to give the parched earth a little drink…but we’ll take it.

It’s been raining pretty much all afternoon, often pouring buckets with lightning and thunder. I hope it’s headed your way! I’ve been telling the clouds to go in your direction.

I had to read this out loud to Eric it was so cute. Thank you. 🙂

I hope all that rain you’re getting is starting to fill the dams. I heard they were supposed to start with rolling black outs today. Although maybe the only areas that will notice will be where they don’t get power outages. Do you think that any of these areas exist in Panama? LOL! 🙂

Actually our power is very reliable here. In the 7 months I’ve been here we only lost power twice for maybe a couple hours, and then that time when the whole country went dark for an afternoon. There haven’t been any blackouts here today that I know of, and not even any interruptions in the middle of some crazy lightning and thunder. That’s more than you could say for our power in Florida.

It’s still sprinkling off and on, and I’m sure we’ll need a lot more to refill the rivers and damns. Has any of this come your way? ~crossing fingers~

No just the few sprinkles…hot and sunny today.
