Waiting for the Sound of Rain

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain, the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach.

~ Henry Beston ~

There is a cool breeze ruffling the trees and a low rumble over the montañas, the house wren is singing from the rooftop next door and the roosters are crowing.  Today we’re hoping that a little rain will fall in the campo.

I read on G+ today that power and water will start to be rationed there if you don’t get rain soon, due to the low water levels. I will keep my fingers and toes crossed for you.

We’ve had a power outage today and one yesterday. And Monday we were without water for part of the morning. I think it’s already begun.

Did you get any rain? It’s rained off and on all morning here, and I’m telling the clouds to head your way. Now if they would only listen.

I'd love to hear from you!
