Ngā mihi o te Aranga!
I thought I’d post something a lighthearted today to celebrate Easter. It’s another beautiful day in the campo. Happy Easter!
The World’s Largest Permanent Easter Egg is in Canada and was constructed in 1975 to commemorate early Ukrainian settlements! This Easter Egg is made up of 524 star patterns, 2,206 equilateral triangles, 3,512 visible facets, 6,978 nuts and bolts and 177 internal struts. And the best thing about it? At night; it glows pretty colours! And it’s from my home province in the town of Vegreville, Alberta. ~ Biggest Stuff

Easter is a particularly important time of year for Sorbs, a Slavic minority in eastern Germany, and the period includes the tradition of painting Easter eggs that include visual elements intended to ward off evil. Many Sorbs still speak Sorbian, a language closely related to Polish and Czech. ~ Adam Berry/Getty Images
