Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward ~ Upright and Smiling

When I saw the photo challenge this week I thought of all sorts of creative things that I might do.  And then we went to the Triaton Olimpico y Sprint de Pedasi.  There were about 165 competitors that were swimming, running and cycling on Sunday the 24th of February.  When I got home and looked at my pictures I realized that there were a lot of people going forward.

This series stood out for me because I was just there shooting pictures of the competitors and the event without any particular focus on one person.  When I looked at this runner I was struck by her form and fitness and realized that I had caught her at the start of her run portion and as she was about to cross over the finish line.

John Stanton teaches that the most important thing about racing is to finish upright and smiling.  And there she was racing in Panama, running up the little incline at the end, going forward, upright and smiling.
